Summer League Team KO Final Result & Report

Played at the Kennys Sportsbar on Sunday 14th September 2014

PERKINS CUE 4-2 KENNYS BEAR.

Perkins Cue are the Summer League champions for a 7th time. Winners in 2005, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013 and now 2014. This Final was a repeat of the 2012 final and the Cuemen were made to work hard for their 4-2 win over the Kennys Bear. They went 3-0 up in no time with Mike Barker (v Jim Simpson), Dave Barker (v Gav Davies) & Alan Sim (v Giles Eastwood) all winning. However Andy Rawlinson (v Dave Whitfield) then pulled one back and Giles Eastwood (v Martin Priestley) then made it 3-2. Rawlinson looked on course to level the match but a missed yellow let Dave Barker in and he potted a long black into the top corner to seal the trophy. The Final was played in great spirit with fine potting and safety play.

A thank you to both Lynda Simpson & Shaun Cooper for refereeing the Final.
