12 teams contested the Stan Bent Team Knockout preliminary round while the remaining 26 teams all received a
bye through to the next round. The only notable shock was Rickerscote D from the 3rd division inflicting a 4-1
victory over 2nd division Albion A. Michael Draper led the way with 2 wins and he was well supported by Shaun Cooper
and John Holmes. Westway B returned from the Bull A with a hard fought 4-2 win. Nick Lenton (2), Dave Rose and Dave
Lowe all won. Rileys had a fine 4-0 win over the Rileys Cue T’s while the Rileys C negotiated a tough draw
with St. Georges with a convincing 4-0 win. Mark Billingsley, Ricardo Martinez, Sean and Alan Alldritt all won. Both
Rangers and Tap n Spile also won 4-0 against Highfields and Oxleathers B respectively. The 1st round will be played
on the 24th January 2010.
