- The League shall be known as the ’Parkside Electrical’ Sunday Pool League.
- The League Rules to be played are the World Rules as agreed at the AGM (29/07/06).
- The League shall be administered by 3 officers: Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer, plus as many committee members deemed necessary by the officers.
- No more than 3 members from any one club or pub shall be permitted to serve on the committee at any one time.
- However the committee will recommend by discretion in the best interests of the League to increase the number of committee members from any one club or Pub if the required amount does not meet its accepted level.
- Any committee member who does not attend 3 committee meetings between set AGM dates will be asked to step down.
- The Treasurer shall ensure that all monies received is banked either on deposit or in a current account and any two of three signatures of the three officers be needed to make withdrawals.
- Annual General Meeting (AGM). This meeting shall take place once every year (normally before the start of the winter season), and only teams who have paid their subscription fees for the forthcoming season shall be allowed to vote.
- Each team having paid will receive a voting card. A show of cards will be the only method of voting.
- Notice of the AGM will be sent to all existing and non-existing pubs or clubs at least 28 days before the date of the AGM. Also details will be on the fixture list during the Summer League.
- Any issues to be brought forward at the AGM must be put in writing and sent to the Secretary 7 days before the date of the AGM.
- The agenda for the AGM will be as follows:
- Chairman’s report.
- Secretary’s report.
- Treasurer’s report and balance sheet.
- Election of officers and committee members.
- Any other business (AOB).
The time for AOB will be at the discretion of the Chairman.
- The league will operate two Leagues comprising of a Winter and Summer season of which divisions and groups will be decided.
- The league shall award trophies to the winners and other participants.
- All matches to start 8:00pm prompt. SCRATCH time 8:15pm.
- Making of the draw:
Four names must be on the result card when the game commences and anyone not present whose name is down when halfway commences will be marked down as lost.
- The league games will consist of 8 singles (2 halves of 4 singles).
- Team Knockout games will end when a team wins 4 games and this will consist of 7 singles. (4/3 split).
- The League committee will officiate and organise all league structures, team knockouts, singles and doubles knockouts and neutral venues.
- Neutral venues that have been decided MUST be adhered to, failure to comply with this rule will result in disqualification from the named competition. Only exceptional circumstances, which must be brought to the committee can be altered, this action must be brought forward at least 7 days before the set date.
- Claimed games - All games will be awarded 8-0.
- Teams who withdraw from the league and do not fulfil the first 50% of the league campaign, ALL results will be deducted from the league teams who withdraw from the league after fulfilling the first 50% of the league campaign, the opposition will be awarded 8-0 claims at the start of halfway period.
- Cancelled Matches.
All teams must give 24 hours notice to both the opposition and the Secretary.
- Re-arranged Matches.
Teams must note that it is the responsibility of both captains or representatives to rearrange unfulfilled fixtures and this must be completed by the last league fixture date of that particular season. If no decision can be made, then it will be left to the leagues committee’s decision.
- A player who misses a game will be counted as a loss.
- All result cards are to be handed into the designated drop-off points which are:

by no later than 8:00pm on the following Thursday.
- Any Result Cards that do not meet this deadline, the OFFENDING TEAM will lose all points and will be deducted from the league.
- Winning teams are responsible for handing the results, in the event of a drawn match, then it is the responsibility of the home team.
- Teams who solely turn up for home fixtures but do not participate in away fixtures will be will be disciplined and will be deducted extra points. The Committee will inform the offending teams of the decision.
- There will be NO TRANSFERS.
- When a player has played a league game or a knockout match, he CANNOT play for another team no matter what division. The league committee will decide on what action will be taken.
- When a player has played a league game or a knockout match for a team who then withdraws from the league, those players CANNOT play for another side. However in only extreme circumstances can the league committee overrule this decision where they feel it is in the best interests of the league.
- Disputes.
All disputes should be put in writing and sent to committee. If it is during a Match, the game in question should not be finished and the result card should not be signed. A signed result card is agreeing by both parties that the result is correct.
- To be eligible to enter the Singles and Doubles Knockout a player must have played at least one League match during the winter season.
- Players from different teams can pair up in the doubles.
- Doubles partners can change, only BEFORE the first round has been made. No CHANGE OF DOUBLES IS ALLOWED after the first round is played.
- All monies are to be paid before players are allowed to enter the individual knockouts, failure will result in elimination from the competition.
- In the event of a tie, the League position will be decided in order:
- MOST WINS.
- MOST DRAWS.
- RESULTS BETWEEN THE TEAMS DURING THAT SEASON.
- Promotion and Relegation issues will be at the discretion of the committee, depending on the structure and format which is set by the committee, i.e. How many divisions, increase or reduction in teams etc.
- Points System will be as follows:
1 point for every frame, +3 points for a match win,+1 point for a drawn match.
- All League and Knockout matches are to be played in accordance with the Leagues Constitution.
- ALL TEAMS NOTE THAT THE SPIRIT OF THE GAME MUST BE MAINTAINED AT ALL TIMES. DISCIPLINE WILL BE TAKEN AGAINST ANY OFFENDING TEAM or PLAYERS WHO BREAKS THIS CODE OF CONDUCT.
- THE COMMITTEES DECISION WILL BE FINAL ON ALL MATTERS.
