STAN BENT TEAM KNOCKOUT 2ND ROUND REPORT & RESULTS. The Stan Bent Team KO Holders Rileys Cue eased through to the next round of the Team KO with a 4-0 success at the Star & Garter. However 2011 runners up Rileys Cue T’s fell at the first hurdle, losing 4-3 at 3rd Div Hop Pole A. Sean McQuillin & Dan Moore (2 each) both won. 2009 Champs Hop Pole C progressed with a 4-0 win over 2nd Div Highfields B.
2nd div Rileys Elite were made to work hard for there 4-3 victory at 3rd div Radford C. Lee Whitehouse (2), Gav Davies & Steve Finney all won coming back from 3-2 down. Emerald Rebels picked up there 1st win of the season with a 4-1 success over 3rd div Water Mill B. Chris Broomhall (2 incl a dish), Will Edge & Chris Clark all won. Bear & Pheasant A also were pushed all the way by lower league opposition, winning 4-3 against Westway C of the 2nd div.
Rileys C ran away with a 4-0 win at Highfields A. Simon W Davies, Alan Sim, Scott Price & Mark Billingsley (a dish) all won. Princess Royal won an all 3rd div clash 4-3 against the Met Bar. Tom Brown, Kev McClurgh (2) & Neil Chilton all won. Tap n Spile won an all 1st div match 4-2 against the Joiners Arms while the other Joiners team recorded a 4-1 success at the Oxleathers C. Water Mill A won by the odd frame in seven against the Star & Garter A. Kev Flanagan (2), Paul Bennet & Ed O’Keefe all won.

In the 3rd division, Rickerscote Arms B and C have changed their home venue to Radford Bank and will be playing under the names Radford B and Radford C. In the 2nd tier, Rileys Elite have changed their name to Rileys Dogs. topDISKS & DISCS DISKS & DISCS On behalf of the Parkside Electrical Stafford Sunday Pool League, we would like to say thank you to both Andy Rawlinson & Mark Bailey for their support and contribution towards the Pool League. Thank you, Dave Whitfield. topAbout Stafford Sunday Pool League The League is affiliated to the English Pool Association and has two periods of competition. The Winter League currently runs with 3 divisions and also includes a team knockout competition. This is followed by the Singles and doubles knockout competitions. The Summer League follows where teams of all abilities compete against each other during the group stage. The League is currently sponsored by Parkside Electrical. More information can be found on the Sponsors page. Trophies are awarded to all winners and runners-up at the annual presentation evening. The Stafford Sunday Pool League currently has 2 representative teams competing in the Staffordshire Inter-league competition where the full set of World Rules are played. The Inter-league offers 2 opportunities (through League and Cup) for teams to play in the national finals at Great Yarmouth. top |
